What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device — phone, tablet, or computer — when you visit. They help the site remember information between page loads, such as whether you've already seen a notice or which preferences you've chosen.
Cookies are not programs. They cannot run code, install software, or access other files on your device. They can only be read by the website that set them (or, in the case of third-party cookies, by the service that placed them).
Browsers give you full control over cookies: you can view them, delete them, or block them at any time through your browser settings, or using the preference panel below.
Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
Required for the site to work. These handle session continuity, security checks, and your cookie-preference record. Without them, parts of the site may not load correctly. They cannot be disabled.
Examples: cookieConsent record, CSRF token, session identifier
Duration: Session or up to 12 months depending on type
Analytics Cookies
Help us understand how visitors move through the site — which pages are read, how long sections hold attention, and where people leave. This informs how we improve the content. Data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.
Service: Google Analytics 4
Duration: Up to 24 months
Marketing Cookies
Used to understand whether visitors reached us via an advertisement, so we can measure whether our outreach is reaching the right audience. These may be set by third-party ad networks such as Meta or Microsoft Bing.
Services: Meta Pixel, Bing Universal Event Tracking
Duration: Up to 90 days (third-party policies may differ)
Preference Cookies
Store small choices you've made on the site — for example, whether you've dismissed a notice — so we don't ask again on future visits. No personal data is stored.
Examples: UI state, dismissed banners
Duration: Up to 6 months
Your Cookie Preferences
Use the toggles above to choose which optional cookie categories you allow. Your choices are saved in your browser's local storage and apply to all pages on this site.
